A form of Ketamine treatment
Spravato is an intranasal form of ketamine used for treatment-resistant depression and acute suicidal ideation/behavior. Spravato is FDA approved and has shown to help improve symptoms of depression within the first 24 hours after it was administered.
What Does Treatment Involve?
Treatment for depression involves 2 treatments per week for the first 4 weeks followed by 1 treatment per week for the next 4 weeks. You and your provider will then determine if further treatments are needed.
Treatment for acute suicidal ideation involves 2 treatments a week for 4 weeks.
How Do I Get Started?
A provider from Michigan Advanced Psychiatry will sit down with you and discuss what you have been facing. They will review the other methods of treatment that have been tried, then determine if Spravato, which is a form of ketamine treatment, is a good option for you. If you have tried other methods of treatment for depression and have not found relief, Spravato Therapy may be a good option for you.
